Seems like I've got a little obsession for domains, here are all the ones I ever purchased in my life. In alphabetical order. This site is not identical to the website page, because some of the domains are still asleep and feature no website. Complete number of domains: 23 + shiricki.net ALLTHINGX.COM / DE Purchased on: December 3, 2000 Content: X-File site Name interpretation: All thingx is named after the X-Files episode "all things" 7x17 written and directed by Gillian Anderson. It's my favorite episode ever. I just exchanged the S by an X. I also own the german .de domain for the site, because some parts of it are in german. ANGELIC-TRUST.NET Purchased on: September 7, 2001 Content: My very personal journal and artwork site Name interpretation: I do not trust fast and I do not trust often. However if I do, it's true and honest trust. I was told that the domain was fitting me perfectly. I think so as well. I chose it to be my journal home, site collective, art collective, it is also hosting my brushes and layouts. It's my most updated site. ^__^ BAKANEKO.BE Purchased on: November 15, 2004 Content: Baka Neko! Name interpretation: This is one japanese-englisch domain. "Baka" means "stupid" and "Neko" means "cat". Baka neko is one of my favorite invented expressions in japanese and I use it quite often. And "to be" is obvious, isn't it? Just the english word for "to exist". So with this domain anyone is encouraged to be a baka neko! Special: This domain is shared with Chita. EVERYTHINGISWRONG.DE Purchased on: October 21, 2001 Content: still asleep Name interpretation: Named after the Moby song and album "everything is wrong". Sometimes fitting my life situation pretty much Q.Q It's one of the domains I wanted just for the sake of wanting it. I still need a revelation for its content ... GUBBLEBUM.NET Purchased on: December 12, 2002 Content: hosting site Name interpretation: First funny domain I registered in my life. That's my hosting domain, which is my free hosting site. Once the site was called "Bubblegum" and when I wanted a domain, everything like bubblegum.net/com/org/whatever was taken of course. And I did not want to go for another 'dash' in a domain name. So I simply switched B and G and tadaaa a new domain was born. Pretty name, don't you think?! HOUSEOFMIRTH.DE Purchased on: March 10, 2001 Content: German House Of Mirth site Name interpretation: 'House Of Mirth' is my favorite movie featuring Gillian Anderson. The site is about this movie, the book etc. It's completely in german and the only german 'House Of Mirth' information site out there. I think by the time now actually it became the only real information site O.o ... KYAAA.BIZ Purchased on: August 31, 2006 Content: my official business site Name interpretation: The domain name is kind of a frenetic phonetical expression of an extraordinary feeling of joy. Like your are extremely happy and just shout "kyaaa" to express it. I try to achieve this feeling by offering my artwork to the world. LOOKUPTOTHESKY.DE Purchased on: December 29, 2001 Content: Janine's journal Name interpretation: The domain was named by Janine: It's a part of the vocals of one of her favorite songs. They are singing "look up to the sky". One of her first screen names was lookuptothesky and when I needed a domain name for her, I simply chose that one, because she already used it and obviously likes it. Special: This domain is a long time present for Janine. It's her site and maintained by her. I am "just" paying and helping with coding, so it's not really mine. MAKEMECRY.NET / MAKESMECRY.NET Purchased on: November 7, 2002 Content: still asleep but hosting some sites already Name interpretation: I think both domains are quite self-explanatory and I do not want to add much to it ... NOTHINGIMPORTANTHAPPENED.COM Purchased on: October 11, 2001 Content: asleep Name interpretation: Named after The X-Files. I don't think it will get online anymore. I am just holding the domain because I don't want it to turn into a xxx-site >.< Special: This domain is shared with Enigma. PERFECTDRUG.NET Purchased on: November 24, 2002 Content: my angelic fanlisting collective Name interpretation: There are a few things I am really addicted to. And this name is really saying that ^.^ Moreover I love that song a lot and I refer someone special to it. After being asleep for almost 2 years, it's finally featuring all my fanlistings. PLAYINGBYHEART.DE Purchased on: December 12, 2001 Content: still asleep Name interpretation: 'Playing By Heart' is also a movie featuring Gillian Anderson. Site was supposed to be the only german site about the movie 'Playing By Heart'. Coming soon maybe ... maybe not. It's really been a while. TRES-JOLIE.NET Purchased on: July 4, 2001 Content: still asleep Name interpretation: "Tres jolie" is french and means "very beautiful". Not sure what it will ever feature, probably something ... pretty? XPLOSIVE.ORG Purchased on: September 13, 2002 Content: asleep again, once was a X-Files site Name interpretation: In those days, I needed another X-Files domain. So I thought and thought and thought and Xplosive just popped into my mind. 'X' for The X-Files. It's fitting perfectly and is kind of impressive. First it hosted X-Files hostees, which are now on gubblebum.net, then it featured "The X Awards" and now it's open for anything new. Special: This domain is co-owned by Enigma. THE SECRET DOMAINS: 7 I am owning even more domains. These domains are still a secret. I just want to keep them save here in my mind. They are already registered but in opposite to the other "not online" domains, I just do not want to reveal their names. |
